Keywords:
Retraction, Research Integrity, RetractBASEAbstract
This study analyzed retractions of scientific articles authored by Brazilian researchers, as recorded in RetractBASE between 2015 and August 2025. A total of 518 retractions were identified, with the highest numbers occurring in 2021 and 2024. The most common retraction models observed were Retracted Article, Retraction, and Withdrawn. The Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp) stood out with the highest number of retractions, followed by other institutions. The Brazilian author with the most retractions was Malafaia, from the Instituto Federal Goiano, followed by authors affiliated with Unicamp. The study found that RetractBASE offers a robust collection, accessible information, and advanced search and filtering tools.
